Can anyone tell me how Mark Super loaded that box with the prediction of the
murder mystery? I believe DC did that as well at one of his live shows.

Thanks for any information.

Tonight you saw a variation on a very old trick. I first read about
it in Arthur Buckley's GEMS OF MENTAL MAGIC.

The Amazing Jonathan used to hang a prediction over the stage. Then,
after the audience member made the prediction, he'd screm "JEFF, bring
me the chair!" And from offstage an assistant would bring him a
(closed back) chair, which he would climb on to retrieve the
prediction envelpe. Climbing off the chair the envelope was loaded
(prediction hanging on back of chair). He just clipped it with his
fingers and held it against the back of the envelope. The assistant
back stage had listened for the audience members prediction, then
placed it in the back of the chair.

David Copperfield's Graffiti Wall works on this basic principle. He
loads the envelope when he reaches way up high for the knife to open
it.

Anyway, back to your main question: How did he load the case. You've
probably figured it all out after reading this. But just in case: it
was the table. It wasn't on the stage origially. The first time we
saw it was when the case was already sitting on it.

The long slip of paper was loaded into the vertical shaft holding the
table upright. A spring loaded injection mechanism loaded the paper
through the bottom of the case and into the plexiglass cylinder.

It's just a very expensive version of screaming "JEFF, bring me the
chair!"

Thanks so much for the explanation. By the way do you like the show. I
personally don't like it at all. Seems like all just bad acting.

Thanks again.

You think that fight between CA and that guy was real or just another setup?

Very insightful Leary. :)

And what about the part where all the audience members had their hands
stamped with 3:13?

That tells me there was some pre-show work done. It's classic Joe
Dunninger. Since they didn't air this part, the method would be
speculation. But the information was either forced or gleaned through
surreptitious means (so many it would be silly to list them all).
Dunninger used a "mentalist's clipboard" for his pre-show work in the
lobby.

I've got more to say about this show but I'm going to save it for a
seperate post.

I don't think the performer would have 1000 different rubber stamps.

Have to agree with the Graffiti Wall method here.
That's why he locked the box into place on the table...so the hole
would line up with the tube (table stand).

But the number on the hands has me stumped.
